All 54 banners from around the county were paraded at this year’s special centenary banner service and we were able to welcome many friends to help us celebrate. The Bucks Singers led the singing and girls of all ages took part in the service. The theme was ‘Celebrating Guiding’ from its beginnings in Europe and across the regions of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). There was dancing, singing, acting and a conversation between Guides from 1909 and 2010! Afterwards we all enjoyed tea and cakes made and served by the Trefoil Guild.
